Tamara Kornilova is Associate Professor and Assistant Chair of the Russian Language Department at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Moscow, Russia. Professor Kornilova has over 20 years of experience teaching Russian Language courses for all proficiency levels and training Russian Language teachers and testers. As an invited instructor, she taught at the Mayer San—Andres State University of La Paz in Bolivia, Camilo Cienfuegos University of Matanzas in Cuba, and the Russian high school at the Russian Embassy in France. In 2009, she served on the advisory committee for the Ministry of Education in Astana, Kazakhstan, providing consultation services on Russian language testing procedures. Professor Kornilova has a number of publications testing in the leading Russian journals on topics related to methodology of Russian language teaching and proficiency. Her most recent research focuses on methods and techniques for control and monitoring of knowledge levels in foreign students’ Russian language proficiency. Professor Kornilova is a certified TORFL-tester.
